What was this flop call about? Regarding my preflop limp, he'd been pushing all-in preflop a lot... I was trying to induce a push.
As for my check on the turn, I thought I smelled something fishy about his thinking time preflop and on the flop... who knows, maybe that's why he called the flop... my own thinking time told him I was nervous, and he figured on bluffing the turn if he picked up a gutshot? Or maybe he's just a moron, or he misclicked on his way to the fold button or something.
Definitely got a WTF out of me, though. The worst part is he went on to win this, after out-kicking me every single hand after this, then finally finding AA in the pocket when I was down to 500 chips and forced to push T9s. I won the next game, though.

I find that even the donks online will call small bets like 80 to see another card. Which I know in our eyes is a pot sized bet, but they still do it because its cheap. He hit his 5, checked, and you checked behind him. So when he hit the trips on the river, he wasn't going anywhere.
I'd chalk it up to a donk just calling what he saw as a cheap call.
