I played pretty well for a while then all of a sudden within 5 min I was knocked out...first with KK against 77 then this. Ended up in 317th place.

Maybe...But Im leaning towards the bad luck side instead of folding preflop. If Im wrong someone let me know. I had built a strong table image for a while having KK QQ probably 6 times in the hour prior to this. Winning atleast 90% of the pots I was involved in. And after the beat with KK to 77 when I called an all in preflop, my stack was getting down there with the blinds about to go up. So I was waiting for a decent hand to make a move, trying to pick up the blinds.

I had seen BB fold to a minimum raise a quite a few times. So thats what I did hoping to pick it up if no one went over the top after me. Post flop, I figured if he didnt have atleast the Ah or Axh he wouldnt stay in, but I was wrong and he got me.

I just got knocked out again late in a tourney with JJ against a 58s. Raised preflop 5x BB, all in with a flop of 10 6 5 with one heart. Runner runner for a flush. I LOL'd when he told me he just felt it...I think I didnt take a long enough break.

Explain please? I know its turning into a hand analysis topic but it would help to know. I like to raise in that position every once in a while, so it dont look like Im trying to steal the blinds. I really dont feel like the hand was that bad for what I was trying to accomplish, how I have previously stated. Seeing how he had KQ he probably would have called no matter what I bet.

I know its not a great starting hand, But Ive had to adjust my game due to the fact that lately Ive been card dead late in these tournaments, and end up blinding out or pushing with Ax.

i think pre-flop is a matter of opinion. and as we all know opinions are neither right or wrong. i would make this raise if the situation is right. but i know others would'nt. its something other players should'nt judge- its something they should just accept. other players don't play like you doesnt mean they are wrong. gus hansen doesnt play like chris furguson but they are both good players.

min raise from mid position with TJs (especially this late in the game) is a bad play period.
