Default Live Poker is Rigged

So I get the train to Nottingham last night (approx 100 miles away) to meet shalesey at 9:30. He's going to pick me up, drive to Dusk til Dawn poker club and then we're going to stay until about 5AM and drive back to Luton.

Then his clutch on his car totally goes whilst he is looking for the train station and we instead have to call the AA. The guy comes out at about 10:30 and decides it can't be fixed and he will need to order a truck to pick us up, which will arrive after about 2 hours.

I ask him if we could leave the car and go for a beer while we wait. He says Well that over there is the Meadows Estate, and that over there is xxx estate. Those are the two drug-ridden gun capitals of the city so I wouldn't expect it to be here when you get back if you leave it. Cheers, intead we can just sit here like a sitting target with it for 2 hours.

Eventually the trcuk arrives and then tows us back at about 50mph the whole way and we arrive back at just before 3AM.

Bad things happen when you try to play poker in real life. I ill stick to my computer in future.

I have to recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

Reminds me of when I lived in Berlin.... Went to a concert in Neukoln, and at the train station was told "Neukoln is the Harlem of Berlin." Needless to say, I refused to get off the train.... until it was explained to me that I had been to Neukoln before. That's when I explained to them that there idea of a bad neighborhood and mine are very, very, different!
