DONT DONT DONT DONT DONT DO IT
that was my biggest problem when people ghosted me etc and me playing and losing
i would go for a goal, like 100$ and it seemed to mess my mental game up when i lost and got farther from 100....dont set goals other than hands played or stuff like that

Very True.
I've never really thought about it like that but now that ya mention it that could have been the root to all of my problems awhile back, since I have just set goals as for hours a week to play but before that I was setting goals/amounts of money to make a week. Thanks alot kidpoker, that was very helpful.

no kidding
Now that I think about it...
When I first started playing I would always mind-fuck myself by depositing 50, playing NL10, loose a couple hands and think "If I can just get back to what I started with I'm good." Of course I would be trying to over bet pots, get caught on obvious bluffs and generally play like shit. I think I read something like this in "Super System" by Doyle Brunson. (I'd look it up but i'm just too damn lazy.)
Once you sit down at a table you should always think of that money already gone.
Something on those lines. God, How I can be such a donk sometimes.

In poker monetary goals are worthless. Only skill goals will advance your game.
Oh and BR discipline.
