I guess he was trying to steal the blinds (blinds at 400 though...hmmm). And when he saw someone with 1/4 of his stack going all-in he thought "wtf, lets gamble and see what happens, I'll still have 4000 if I lose".

Once the button raises, he has to call the shove.
I don't think the raise from the button is a good idea given the small stacks that are in the blinds, but when he gets shoved he has to call given that price.

well lets face it ur stack is smaller than his and he's probably thinking what the hell let gamble. its advanced tournement play (in his point of view) that most cash players won't understand! but thats what makes the game interesting. it would be pretty boring if everyone played the same as u!

He's getting 3.6:1 pot odds, he has to call as he definitely has 23% equity against your range.
Like I said before, I'm not crazy about his blind steal as I don't think the stack sizes allow for great FE, but whatever I suck at tourneys.
