It ALWAYS happens to me as well - seriously I have as much chance of beating AA with 23o as I do of winning a race - no matter how big a lead I've got.

I think you played it fine and I wouldn't open shove this. Maybe if you had 800 or less.

I play it the same as you.

Open shoving isn't too bad but it's not ideal IMO.

Is it a SNG or an MTT? If its a SNG then I almost never open shove AK with so many people left so I'd play it the same, MTT Id be more inclined to open shove.

Turbo SnG.

You would never open shove AK? That's crazy!

I checked with SnG Wiz and it says not to open shove it here unless its sooted.

I dont open shove with so many people left and blinds that size, too tight maybe but Id prefer not risking it for 150, but then, I dont play turbos, or rather I hate them.

Not saying its the best play but its what I do.

And besides....I said ALMOST never, not never

I hoped that you meant just in this situation with these blinds and my stack!

I agree with you that it isn't worth shoving yet but the thing is, am I folding to a re raise anyway? Everyone agrees about me calling the all in. Is that only cos he had AQ? lol.

No, im probably not folding to a re-raise, I guess its one of those weird situations really, guess it depends on your desire to gamoooooooool.
