Default At least I had him covered

Heres a live hand I played last night… the villian was faily aggresive, raising with crap (5/8 s00ted...?) and I was waiting patiently for my time to felt him.

5 people out of 16 left left, we each started with 2000 in chips, average stack just over 6000, we're all faily close. Blinds are 200/400

I’m in the bb with

Pf action… UTG min-raises to 800, 1 caller in mp and I call

Flop:

I raise 1200, UTG calls, mp folds

Turn:

I raise 800, hoping for him to come over, and he pushes making my wish come true, I insta-call with my quads which of course are nuts

UTG shows: … at first I'm real happy that he got caught bluffing, then I get a sick feeling...

River:

I had like 800 left after this, held my own for 15 min, and just beat the bubble to come in third.

Internally I was a bit fuming since this was like the 5th time he donk'ed out that night, but my live games are 100% for fun so letting shit like this slide helps with the 'ol sanity.

I had put on a tournament at my work last year. I fought my way to the final two with hardly any chips. I had like 5,000 to his like 35,000. I was able to bring us almost even within like 20 hands. He knew I was gonna beat him so he was like "you wanna just go all in on this next hand?" I looked down to see AK and was like "uhh yeah". He had K5. I figured I would be cleaning this tournament up pretty well. Until he caught a 5 on the river. I swear I could feel that 5 coming from a mile away too. I actually called it out before the card was turned over.

Those hands always happened when there is no Bad Beat Jackpot!
