Default *Sigh* nh sir

I've posted this in River Rats, but any advice on the hand (i.e. turn play) would be appreciated.

NLHE (0.25/0.50) 7 handed

Hero (BB) ~ $75
Villain (MP) ~ $25

Hero

UTG limps, Villain limps, SB limps, Hero raises to $4, UTG folds, MP calls, SB folds

Flop (2 players, Pot : $9)

Hero bets $7, Villain calls.

Turn (2 players, Pot : $23)

Hero bets $14, Villain calls $14 and is all in.

River (2 players, Pot : $51)

Results :

Villain shows

My turn bet was in phoenixdan's words "a fuck it" bet . How else could I play the turn though? based on his remaining stack am I ever getting away from this?

You put 1/6th of his stack in preflop with KK and an ace didn't flop.

You should never ever fold this without him turning his hand over. Having the K of Spades on the turn even increases your long term equity.
