Default Day 14

As most of you know, I'm running pretty bad right now. Today marks the 2 week point of my downswing that has cost me over $1200 and has just about cut my BR in half. I guess it's time to drop back down to $50NL and start grinding it out again.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed)

MP3 ($97.30)
CO ($60.70)
Button ($32.25)
SB ($100)
BB ($97.50)
Hero ($101.65)
UTG+1 ($100.90)
MP1 ($87.80)
MP2 ($156.10)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with , .
Hero calls $1, 1 fold, MP1 calls $1, 5 folds, BB checks.

Flop: ($3.50) , , (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2, MP1 calls $2, BB folds.

Turn: ($7.50) (2 players)
Hero bets $5, MP1 calls $5.

River: ($17.50) (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $10, Hero raises to $30, MP1 raises to $50, Hero calls $20.

Final Pot: $117.50

Results in white below:
Hero has 4c 4d (full house, fours full of queens).
MP1 has Qh Qs (four of a kind, queens).
Outcome: MP1 wins $117.50.

And of course, 5 hands later, I decided to tilt off my remaining $40....
(and yes, I've logged off for tonight and no, most of my losses are not because of hands like this.)

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (8 handed)

SB ($103.70)
BB ($60.70)
UTG ($69.50)
UTG+1 ($101.50)
MP1 ($93.50)
Hero ($40.15)
CO ($100)
Button ($151.10)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with , .
1 fold, UTG+1 raises to $4, MP1 calls $4, Hero calls $4, 2 folds, SB raises to $15, 1 fold, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, Hero calls $11.

Flop: ($39) , , (2 players)
SB bets $5, Hero raises to $25.15, SB calls $20.15.

Turn: ($89.30) (2 players)

River: ($89.30) (2 players)

Final Pot: $89.30

Results in white below:
SB has Kd Kc (four of a kind, kings).
Hero has Td 8d (one pair, kings).
Outcome: SB wins $89.30.

shitty
nothing you can do though except wait for rakeback... oh wait *HINT HINT*

it really does happen to everyone though, there is absolutely no shame in moving down. all of us either have moved down or should have moved down at one point or another.

last year i lost 10 100nl buy ins in 1 day. granted i was a worse player than I am now and tilted away about 4 of those buy ins, but i learned you have to work through things like that.

Yep.

Come on McJ. We're trying to help you here. Look at the column for rake on PT and then imagine having 30% - 100% of it back and see how much better your downswing looks.
