This really doesn't belong in river rats...

You drew to the river to hit your flush and still lost. Your low was beat the entire time.

Maybe you didnt notice I had high the whole time with my 8s, and 7th makes me lose to a miracle gut shot straight flush

About 2 years ago I was playing stud at Ballys. I was on a flush draw and hit on 5th street. I reraise everyone is reraising every street until it is capped.

Not a single hand was folded.

At showdown there was a straight flush, 2 4 of a kinds, 3 full houses, my flush and 2 straights if I remember correctly.

The odds of that happening have to be astronomical but I am not making this up. The pot was so big I was busted.

If happens live trust me.

Not to doubt your story(well, I do doubt it, but you can hardly blame me), but I am curious since this situation must come up once in a while. What does the dealer do in a full game of stud if everyone refuses to fold? How does he deal seven cards to nine people from a deck of 52?

You hit 8s on 5th. The guy with the straight flush hit a flush on 6th. You happened to hit your 6 outer on the river, while he hit one of his 2 outs to keep you beat.

Don't make it sound like it was some horrendous beat, when it was lucky that you even made a serious hand by the river.

I would doubt the story too so I understand but I swear on everything I love it happened. I swear on the eyes of my mother and father it happened

Anyway the next card in the deck is a community card.

7 card stud is from 2 to 8 people. Not 9. By the time the last cards are dealt, if there are not enough to go around, 1 card is placed face up as a community card.

8 people x 6 cards each = 48, + 1 community card

Ahh, makes sense. Thank you. In Loz's story there were nine players, but I am sure he just remembered that detail incorrectly.
