my three all ins
playing $20 NL, blinds $1/$1 at casino yesterday. bought in three times, played 5 hands, three were all ins.
1: i have AKo in cutoff. UTG raises to $3, UTG+1 calls. folded to me. i go all in for my last $9.50. both players call. board: J 6 4 Q 2. they check it down. UTG shows AKo, UTG+1 shows 65o. fuckers.
2: i have AhKs UTG+2. UTG+1 limps. i raise to $4. everybody folds, UTG+1 calls. flop Qh 9h 6h. he check, i bet $5, he calls. turn 2d. he check, i bet $7 all in, he says i like you so ill call you. river Js. He shows KTd. motherfucker.
3: I have A8o in cutoff. UTG limps, UTG+1 limps, folded to me, i go all in for $8. SB calls, everyone else folds. SB has A4h. flop only has one heart, i am happy, when the turn comes another heart i stand up to leave, and guess what the river was.
I feel like Rodney fucking Dangerfield.

You can only buy in for 20 times the BB? That's brutal.

yeah its not a good game if you cant get a quick double up. but if you can catch some cards it gets really lucrative cos people throw all ins in there like its nothing.

its about all i can afford. plus if you dont take it seriously it is a hilarious game. i sat next to a guy yesterday who was telling me (in a nice way, trying to help) that i was a bad player as he proceeded to play every single hand no matter what the raise was and push all his chips in with bottom pair. it was working for him though, this was the guy who beat me in all in #2.
it is like playing with your drunk friends when you arent drunk, but the game actually moves along rather than one guy passing out when it is his turn to act.

just playing it for fun mate. all my poker playing friends quit a few months back so i cant get a home game going any more. its really kind of fun to sit there with all the donkeys and only lose a couple buy ins when you can win 100 BBs in under an hour on a good day.
3rd hand after i sat down yesterday: there is one amateur never played before in my life guy all in, another in a cowboy hat calls, and one other guy calls too. at the river the board reads 2 3 4 6 9 (not in that order). Cowboy guy turns over 25 for the straight on the side pot, amateur all in guy mucks his hand, but i want to see what he is playing so i ask the dealer to turn it over. dealer turns over his pocket 5s. amateur guy mucked a straight and the cowboy hat guy doesnt let him take half the pot, says no, he mucked it, i win the whole thing. then he laughed so hard he almost fell out of his chair.
its moments like this that make me play that game.
