Can't fault the first hand much. The raise was about right (although I hate UTG+1...) and you couldn't fold to his re-raise.
When you loose a hand, then go all in with A3 (suited or not) that's called tilt. You should have taken a deep breath and waited for a better time... I realize you were BB next hand, but you're the new short stack, after just getting a bad beat. The push looked real desperate and you were bound to get a caller, which you certainly didn't want.

2nd Hand: If the button showed me his hand and told me he was going to call, I would still push all in.

A3o with 7 people behind you? You got to know it's very likely someone has a better, even dominating hand. On some days I would agree with McJ if everyone else promised not to call, and only since you were BB next, but A3o against KQ suited is a coin flip and I try to wait for slightly better odds when my tourney life is on the line.
Even if you had to fold both blinds, you have 495 left and 6 free hands to see for a better chance double up or even take a blind or 2. This provides a much better chance of surviving than pushing with A3o with 7 people behind you. From this blind level, I've had under t200 to come back and win an 18 man tourney.
I have no need to tell you about patience as you said these were the only 2 hands you played. Which brings up another issue - I try to see as many flops as I can between the t20 and t50 levels (especially in position), so perhaps next time start to play a bit earlier. I understand it’s hard if you get garbage every hand, and everyone at the table is a maniac. Best of luck in the future!

These beats are so standard. Suck it up and keep playing..
and if you often find yourself in coinflip situation for all your chips with 6-7 people left, you might want to review your SnG game.

We have an M of 4 (or 6.5BBs) and an Ace, if you've read Harrington on Hold'em then you should know that this is an insta-push. If you haven't read HOH, you really should.
We COULD fold here, wind up with only $500 left in chips after the blinds and never see another playable hand. I'd much rather get all in with A3os and lose than hold on as long as I can only to be blinded out. If I'm going down, I'm going down swinging and A3 isn't a bad hand to make a stand with in this situation.

I don't think OBGA was complaining about these specific hands as much as he is complaining about the fact that he can't win anything. When we're running bad, every beat is a bad one.
