This needs a thread.
I had to make a screen name just to share this story. I had just been knocked out of a $100k weekend tourney having my Jacks beat by 22 on the river (guy went allin on low flop and I correctly called, they hit set on river). This was frustrating but I understand how poker works. Game of percentages, win in the long run, etc.
Played $1NL HE, sat with $60. AKo, called $8 raise preflop, flop = K97, person raises, I reraise, they go allin I call they turn over TT. Turn = 8, River =6. I was pissed off because I had been ousted from the tournament and now lost 20% of my bankroll. This is usually enough to put me on tilt, and it did in that I sat down with the rest of my roll, $260, at a $4NL HE table. Fourth hand in the big blind I get AA.
First to act preflop raises to $8 and EVERYBODY CALLS (this is six-handed table by the way). I raise to $30 and 3 people call. Four hands see the flop, which hits KJ3: two spades. I'm holding A of spades. As second to act I raise to $40, next person folds, next person raises to $105 (that's about their whole stack) and the dealer raises allin (they have bigger stack than me). At this point I'm assuming that I'm probably facing a combination of AK, KJ, JJ, and/or flush draws. I don't think I was incorrect in calling with the remainder of my chips, albeit I thought there was a good chance I was behind.
First person who was allin for less than me had K9o. The dealer whose allin matched mine showed 62 offsuit. This is not a typo, they showed six two offsuit (not even a justifiable bluff because the person to their right was allin and would not fold their last $20). I don't know what my chances were to win but I knew I was going to at least win the side pot. Turn was a 6 of spades which eliminated all other players' spade outs. River came an off 2. 62 offsuit took a $700 pot.
If anyone wants a screenshot, because believe me I took one of hand history, I can provide one.

I know. Yet even clear headed and not on tilt, if I was given the opportunity to wager $260 and be something like a 60-70% favorite for a $550 pot and a 95% favorite for a $150 pot I would do it. That's why I have to look back and just be beside myself. Even when the cards were turned over I braced myself for a K or 9 and could've handled that loss, but that somebody made that play with 62o and was rewarded with $700 amazes me. So frustrating.

You were at a $2/$4 table right. That's a pussy bet, and with $40 in the pot, you mine as well go all in with your $60.

Don't know what you're saying? I didn't want to scare everyonewith K9o and 62o away. If they want to call a $40 that's fine by me. The point is I was ahead majorly on the flop and got turn rivered by the most unlikely opponent: 62

weren't you beat on the flop, and you raised to $30 w/$40 in the pot, which means they only need to put $22 into a $70 pot. I dont know what the hell the person w/62 was thinking though.

He was winning on the flop. K9 had top pair, 9 kicker he had AA for overpair.
I understand you need to vent but if you say you would gamble $200 as 70% favourite then you really shouldn't get upset about losing here. You did nothing wrong.
Try to focus on what you can contol - e.g not playing above your bankroll next time. This is what will improve you as a player.
