I just read your 2 bad beat examples there and think the following...

1st example:
K7 is bad, but with .50 invested whats another 1.50? The raise wasn't large enough. Hopefully 2 live cards on thier part.
When they called your bet after the flop, you have to think they are holding a King or 2 clubs.
Then when the 2nd Queen came on the river (and it wasn't a club) and he checked, you lost the hand by not betting as if you were holding the set of Queens.
If called, you either all in the river card or test bet to see if they hit the quads.

2nd Example:
Short stack put you on two overs, was correct to move all in.
Had you beat before the flop.
You hit the ace to give you temporary false hope,
flush was a lucky hit,
but the best hand won.

You know how everyone is tearing you up in your "How Good am I?" thread? This is why. That kind of mentality is play money thinking. "It's only $1.50, what does it matter?" It's actually 3BBs more, or 4BBs total. If you were playing on the $25/$50 tables, it would be $200 total.

Calling 3bb, out of position with K7 off suit is never a good idea.....even if it's "only $1.50."

1st one was just bad call pre-flop. Centerfolds advice is horrible. If he is making out of position calls PF with K7o, he is not gonna fold cos he thinks you might have trip Qs, he is obviously not thinking at all.

2nd one: tough shit
