Default New Mantra - Fold KK ahhm Fold KK ahhm

First off - really like to thank Alex for posting stuff on FTP - went there, enjoyed it immensly, and was able to get some rhythm going. Wonderful site, good people, and an overall style that suits me and my BR.

So I took this new found confidence back to Stars, and I noticed that all my complaints about PS were unfounded......well most.....it was my style that had been getting me into trouble. LAG I am not and do not have the experience to be doing such a thing yet.

Anyhoo

$4 Dollar SnG - was playing really well and surprised myself with being CL with about thirty left, even though I had not had any real strong cards (in the traditional sense). I had some awesome reads on some players and caught a couple of sets that paid off really well.

KK comes along, cracked by JJ - a little miffed, but it happens
a few hands later
KK comes along, cracked by A8 - he was short stacked so couldn't blame him really
a few hands later
KK comes along, by this time I got a bit wary, but shortest of short stacks went all in so I called, another goes all in (he was mid stack), odds were pretty good so I took it on, JJ for mid, 56 for short. Well JJ caught his J, short caught a straight.....and that was enough to cripple me after the other hits. Went out 11th, which was a little disappointing, but oh well.

KK is easy to crack, but when you get it three times within about 20 hands you would think you would win one of them right?

At least there was no steam or tilt this time. A slight sigh, a slight profit, and a significant improvement in my game was enough to keep the tilt doctor away.

I agree -

My KK horror story -

Within 10 hands -

Kd Kh vs Ks Kc
Board - 3c 4c 10s 8c jc (4 card draw flush) - ARGH

Kx Kx vs As 7s
Board - 3x 5x X 4x 6x (4 card draw straight) - ARGH

Kx Kx vs 5h 5c
Board - Xc Xc Xc Xc X (another freaking 4 card draw flush!!! Again.)

logout. turn off the computer. come back another day.

This was all on Party.

I feel your pain.

Had exactly the same thing last night.

KK busted by AJ
KK busted by QQ

and the worst one.

I've got KK and raise, one guy re raises third guy calls, I'm thinking that I only really want to be up against one of them so I push all in first guy calls, second one also calls.

First guy shows AQ, second one shows J9.

Flop 9J9 - How did he know?
