I dont know where this goes so I will put it in here.

I was playing Omaha and had 5,5,7,9 (suits dont matter) and called the raise before me. Then there were two more reraises after that so I folded as it was for most of my stack. The flop was then J, 5, 2. There was one guy already all in and two others still in the hand. One of the two went all in and the other called. The turn card was a 5!!! and the river didnt matter. I wouldve had quads. It sucks when that happens.

Wait, why are you playing 5579 anyways? Id much rather have something like AAKJ or KKTJ

Heck the guy probably had Trip Jacks on the flop or even a set of 9s, just dont play trash like this... good fold on the flop - turn was just bad luck.

Next time... im sure youll get it when you call a raise with 6635

Everyone was playing loose and it was the first good hand I had seen in a while so i decided to try and see a flop. Yeah the guy did a have three jacks and eventually got a full house. It still sucks.

Ah yes....

5579 is a trash hand.

I don't know as if *any* hand in Omaha is trash (I mean obviously there are, but they are few and far between). The thing about that game (and the primary reason I hate it and won't play it) is that there are so many cards in play that it's just *way* too easy to go from worst hand to best hand or best to worst in the blink of an eye. It's downright maddening. That game is just so dependant on luck.

Not even for 30 day short term success.

Patience, aggression, and pot control. Bigger emphasis on pot control, I'd say than other games.
