Strategy Corner:

ok... obviously they both made moronic donkey calls preflop... on the flop however its not as bad...

ME: AQo

yeah.. so the entire table, the railbirds, and the announcers and camera crew all called my raise preflop... this flop is golden for me... i mightve wanted to push.... but a pot-size bet is just fine to deny anyone with the flush draw odds to call... i expect to get folded to and take down the 600ish in the pot..

Donkey #1: 9Ts

ok, he's flopped a backdoor flush draw + double gutshot... facing 2-1 odds.. he has 6 outs to the double gutshot that he can count on (cant count the ones that would make a flush possible... even though we dont know someone has a flush draw yet) he has a 24% chance of improving by the river... assuming he sees all 5 cards.... assuming the flush doesnt hit... easy fold.... he's a fucking moron...

Donkey #2: A8s

now this is where i get pissed off at donkey #1... now this guy is getting 3-1 odds on his flush draw... there is no way he can think his hand is good now... but he has 9 flush outs to the stone cold nuts, and another 8 or ace PROBABLY wins for him... making it 14 outs.. a favorite to improve before the river... he has a 56% chance of hitting an ace, 8, or heart by the river... and with the stacks... he is guaranteed to see both turn and river... in actuality the ace isnt an out... making his actual chance of improvement/winning to be 44%... still makes the call proper... though he made the biggest mistake in the world playing a weak ace to a big preflop raise, he played the flop correctly... as did I....

EDIT... after going through this with all mental percentages.. i went and actually ran it through the odds calculator... the 24% i thought donkey #1 had was actually 23.15% and the 44% i thought donkey #2 had was 43.3%
