I should have been the CL by about 15k. with 73 left, 70 paying, but now he is.

wow, that is a pretty loose call on the BB by him there. I suppose he was in better position but Q9.. Those diamonds must've looked pretty to him.

Tbh mayb with blinds that high you should've pushed all in to take down the pot on the flop at least to stop him getting lucky. Especially as you were gunna call him all in if he reraised.

The pot was about 10k so it would've been worth the raise and it would be hard to put him on a 7 with a call of your raise preflop.

It's a pretty bad beat, he had 5 outs and caught 1 on the river :/ sucks especially in that position.

All i can say is that mayb a push all in on flop would've been a better move as you can't put him on a 7 unless he made a v loose called with A7. If he hadn't hit then he woulda folded and you would've got 10k for it and if he hit a 9 you were likely to win.

When blinds get that big that late in the tourny you want to be a lot more aggressive but believe me i sympathise with your bad beat fully, ul man
