Default I fold aces but call this?

final 16 or so of a MTT on AP.

I have the chip lead at 80k.

blinds are 1500/3000 if I remember correctly.

the guy in 2nd and 3rd are both at my table. The guy is 2nd has been playing a tight solid game.

He opens in EP for 6k folds to me. I have A7o in the BB.

Fuck this, I know I am dominated, but I may flop a monster and stack him - yeah drean on Beav.

flop comes down Q 7 5 two clubs.

I bet out 9k in two the pot with about 15k in it.

he call. Turn brings the death card. Ace.

Ok. I bet out 15k. He min raises to 30k and only had 17k left. I have him covered by 22k. I know he had at least AQ. But I set him in.

He flips over QQ.

He is now a massive chip leader.

Fucking pot odds!

BTW, I finally get all in with JT vs AK. Flop is JT9. Cool, I just need to dodge a Q. Turn is a Q.

I have like 2700 left. 4k blinds.

I push with J2 CL in the BB checks with 93. Flop is 488

turn is a 6

river 9

A7o is my "unlucky" hand.

The quotes are important because I don't really believe it, but I think the 7 is high enough that short handed you can end up overvaluing the Ace where you might fold A6-A2 quite easily.

Anyway, would I fold preflop? - possibly, though I'd need to know more about the guy to be sure (and the payout structure and chip stacks all round etc). I reckon I call 50% fold 25% and raise 25% in that position. The raise would be based on the fact that if he's decent I may as well find out now if he's got a hand because if I miss the flop and check he's going to take it down anyway, if he's good enough he'll also lay down a lot of hands to a reraise if he's stealing.

But harsh stuff.

"The guy is 2nd has been playing a tight solid game."

That means this unusual lmin bet PF from EP is to be setting off warning bells in my head. I'm most likely folding this PF, but I'm playing it clsoe to the same the rest of the way.
