You bent over and asked for it by checking the turn.

I'm going to have to agree with those others that say that while the flop was very safe to slow play, once the FD and SD hit the table you should have tried to end the hand there...At very least Bet enough to take away odds to anybody drawing so if they do hit, it was their mistake, not yours.

You have a raise from EP followed by another caller...I'm looking at this hand like any over card to your 10's could potentially give somebody else higher trips. With the JT on the board, KQ is a likely hand so that could have given somebody the OESD and because you gave the free card, you allowed the lucky guy to hit his inside SD.

I can honestly say that I've made that mistake many times in the past and while I haven't always regretted it, I've regretted it enough to watch the turn card carefully. If draws start popping up I stop slow playing and am happy with the Pot I win. I can also tell myself if I'm called that it was the other guys mistake not mine....

This is why I never slowplay trips on the flop. Even when there are no flush options. I always just go ahead and bet out.

It will probably be a while until I try to be cute again. Check raise that flop, sure, no check calling.
