How many buy-ins (and what is your in the money and ROI) are you talking about? You made the $200 that wasn't from the MTT and a $200 profit at $20/2 SnGs is not significant and easily lost with exactly the same playing style that won it.

When the bubble bursts in a SnG 60% of the prize pool is awarded. Compare that to 15%-25% in a MTT. That works out to 20% of the prize pool per person for SnG vs 1.5% for MTTs. Cashing in a SnG is much more significant - although I always feel like I lose if I don't win.

Early rounds of SnGs I play pretty tight, but I like to mix it up and take down small small pots when I sense I can. Builds my stack and gives me some padding for the next few rounds, where playing more loose will kill your stack if your not picking your spots well.
