Hi,
Who can help me on the correct ruling on below hand and a club tournament the other day.
Blinds are 200/400
big blind has $600 total chips.
He puts in his $400 blind and see the flop. Small blind checks, then he goes in all in with remaining $200. Do the rest of players in hand put $200 in calling the flop or put in the minimim blind which is $400, and make a side pot.
Please explain as it caused a dispute at the table.

i know if there's a bet and someone shoves for less than a minraise the action is capped, but not sure what happens when they act first.

Any players calling the all in from the BB have to put in a full value of a minium bet which is BB=400. 200 goes into the main pot and the remaining 200 into a side pot. Or they can raise and a min-raise would be 800 of which 200 goes into the main pot and the remainder into a side pot.
