Any thoughts?

Analyzing tough hand

He's making an Honest steal at the blinds. He could have just about anything, even a TAG like him. You need to reraise here IMO, Get rid of his wekaer holdings now, you want AA to be up against other premium hands which you dominate. AA is weakest against small/medium suited connectors.
Oh nmind, you had A6. I cant read....
gotta think about this one then.... But gut instinct says to fold the river.... but he probably expects you too... so middle pair may be worth calling....
I dunno... let some of the more active NL players chip in....Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.
Luck is a Residue of Design.

This is one of those hands where I probably shut down when I'm called on the flop. I can't imagine a hand he would call with on that flop that a) you have beat, or b) has you beat but he will now fold on the turn.
#1 the guy is very tight, and a 12VPIP tells me he probably is not going to get ot creative post-flop without a hand
#2 Most tight aggros are raising the Ace high flush draw on that flop so I don't like the range you put him on --I think his ranger is much wider, and much more likely to have you crushed
I think as played this is a snap-fold on the river, what can you beat other than specifically As2x, As9x-Kx --considering if he did just call with AsX there is no way he did it with A4, A5, A6, A7, and A3 and A8 just got there as well.Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog

He was counting on you to bluff this hand. If it was me I'd prob fold PF, you're automatically OOP in SB. A6s isn't very stong, esp to a raise (even if its a steal) I would c/f all streets most likely. suited flop and you don't have flush draw, no point to be in the hand.
Save your money for next time when you have a stronger holding. A LOT of hands beat you on the flop. No reason for you to think you're a head with a call on a flop like that.

I would just check fold this flop. It is very likely he has a ton of equity against you and almost any turn card is bad for you.

Don't call pre, your hand is to weak and to hard to play OOP, just 3Bet pf to around 2$.
As played i think I call the river, cause i would put him on either Flush, Flush Draw or a 5x.

This player will probably not raise superweak but that if you want the chips you are better re raising about 1.5 pre but as hand is weak and you are not certain what he is holding folding is a good option unless this opponent always attacks your blinds, he may also just flat call to see a flop anyway.
Post flop don't think player with these stats has it in him to call without nut draw or made hand. Think you can fire less on the turn and get the same results of fold out overcards but if called give up on the river as this player almost 100% incapable of river bluffing.
Think is okay to put player on eithe r flush 78 or or a7 at the turn call so okay for river fold
Don't worry about the other player reading your bets as weak if he had overcards etc think would have folded as cards that scare his range are out there/he has no idea what your range/cards are in the blinds I imagine also he's normallly easy to fold if he's missed.Last edited by Peterpetrovski; 11-14-2011 at 02:25 AM.

This is a pretty horrible hand to call a blind steal with. Against this guy I would turbofold. Against others you should probably resteal with it. Postflop is spewy because he has a super tight range and you are betting into him on multiple streets with crap.
This is not a tough hand to play at all, you just made it look tough by making the wrong decision on every single street.
EDIT
I guess you could have raised him on the river, that would have been even worse.Last edited by mr beer; 3 Weeks Ago at 09:21 PM.
