Max value?

I'd have called his flop bet. With his aggression it's likely he'll do something dumb like bet out on the turn, and if he doesn't you can bet and get a call/raise often. Shoving is just too strong and allows him to correctly fold a lot of his junk
Sorry it took so long to get back to you about this, been a busy weekend.

Oops, flop 3bet I mean, raising is fine

his 3bet, i would of flat called that and checked turn if not flush draw or straight draws came out,
all though if an 8 came out, and he checked. i would raise half pot and see what he did...
let him bluff at it though, if the players loose.. you wanna hope he has position on you, so when you check he can continue to bust on bluffs...
NH though IMOPoker: Am I still gambling if I have the nuts?

That was a rainbow board, I would have just called the $1.40 and then large raise on the turn if he bet out.

Yeah, calling the $1.40 is indeed best. We're in position on the turn, so if villain doesn't lead out, we always can. Pot on the turn is $3.12 and villain has $2.70 behind at this point, so there's only one pot sized bet left to make, regardless of who does it.
I think it's best to get it in on the turn, when he may be willing to call with his dumb straight draw or whatever stupid thing else he stacks off with
