So after this hand, I think the player to my right (UTG) doesn't actually have a concept for hand rankings in poker.

Full Tilt Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with J, Q
UTG raises, Hero calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, 1 fold, Button calls, 1 fold, BB calls

    Flop: (15.4 SB) 8, 3, 4 (7 players)
BB checks, UTG bets, Hero folds, MP1 raises, 1 fold, MP3 calls, 1 fold, BB calls, UTG 3-bets, MP1 calls, MP3 calls, BB calls

    Turn: (13.7 BB) 8 (4 players)
BB bets, UTG raises, MP1 calls, MP3 calls, BB calls

    River: (21.7 BB) 8 (4 players)
BB bets, UTG raises, MP1 calls, 1 fold, BB calls

    Total pot: $2.77 (27.7 BB) | Rake: $0.13

    Results:
BB had 5, A (three of a kind, eights).
UTG had 9, 10 (three of a kind, eights).
MP1 had 10, 10 (full house, eights over tens).
    Outcome: MP1 won $2.64

Maybe this is why all day I got beat by 3 and 4-outers on river by hands with little to no draws on flop.

I actually LOVE UTG's line here --If he was playing in a higher-stakes game

If he was playing against decent regulars he wins this pot on the Turn

Really? So he is just playing at too low of stakes. I thought he had no concept for the game... turns out he understanding is too advanced for the level he is playing.. Nice

Yes, he is either a complete dummy, as you first suspected; OR he is a complete dummy because he is thinking on level 3 or 4 when his opponents are on level 1: Either way he is a dummy
