    Default 2nl: Tight players 3bet spazshoveling

    So been playing 2nl a bit, and I've been seeing a lot of tight/nit peeps shoveling full stacks over 3bets preflop (mostly). I'm thinking this is one of those 'in' moves (like shortstacking, donkleading, limp/raising, etc). Mostly this just feels like nits who don't like playing postflop because they don't know how to play poker.

    In this hand villain is 12/7/2 over 300 hands (VPIP/PFR/3bet), pretty sure this is like AA/KK only. Agree/Disagree?

    $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Holdem -8 Players
    Hand Conversion Powered by weaktight | fold when you know you're beat
    Stacks:
    UTG $3.38
    UTG+1 $5.55
    Hero $2.21
    MP2 $7.61
    CO $2.92
    BTN $5.47
    SB $1.26
    BB $2.60

    Pre-Flop: ($0.03, 8 players) Hero is MP1 Qc Qh
    2 folds, Hero raises to $0.08, MP2 goes all-in $7.61, 4 folds, $2.13 to Hero ($2.13)? (Easy fold yes?)

    have you seen any other hands where villian shoved all-in preflop? I would say its a correct fold. I have lost too many coin flips in NL2. There are many people that will shove with ATC or any Ace or any pair. Its important to distinguish which one of these your op is before calling.

    Most likely he has (AK) IMO

    Player is a weak/passive nit, taking passive lines postflop with all but near nut hands. His overbet shove is unusual for him.

    Unusual.. but them Queens...... ouch....

    As you have him pegged as a Mouse (Weaktight), I think I'd have to fold....

    Let's put him on JJ+, AQs+ (it is low limit, and they may be a little more open.

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 48.358% 46.83% 01.53% 29670360 967140.00 { QcQh }
    Hand 1: 51.642% 50.12% 01.53% 31750608 967140.00 { JJ+, AQs+, AKo }

    ooooooooo that's close to break even... you may have odds there was a few other calsl to your raise to start... but I think that's still a fold... but barely.

    Now if we look at KK+, AKo+.....

    equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 39.857% 39.64% 00.22% 19005028 104399.00 { QcQh }
    Hand 1: 60.143% 59.92% 00.22% 28730686 104399.00 { KK+, AKs, AKo }

    Easy fold.

    So if you combine the two ranges of possible holdings.... still an easy fold.
    Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

    I saw 6 occurrences of this in my evening session from normally Mousey, Fullstacked players. Not sure if this is a new fad or what. It's annoying, but makes it easy to play against. Caught another player with JJ 3bet shoveling at another point. Hopefully I can gain some info as I play and understand this better.

    Truthfully, I'm starting to wonder if it's the work of some retarded pokerbot someone made. People with such similar stats making similar actions is awfully suspect.

    On a sidenote, I got selected to do 'captcha' to make sure "I" wasn't a bot. Hooray!

    Like when you sign up for a website and you have to type an alphanumeric code...for example - "a25sd5i".

    Pokerstars will freeze your game and make you type the captcha shown on the chatbox, the more you mass table, the more likely you are to be forced to do one.

    nice, I can't keep up with more than 8.. But I am also on a labtop with a small screen

    Also, I normally play on half the screen while watching movies on the other half. Makes a long session fly by faster
