Default Was this correct fold ?

I had position, but this guy was a huge multi tabler... playing tight i would assume.. possibly KK AA ? AK at the very least.. i would expect a shove with QQ JJ from him or a flat call...

Any past hands vs him , your table image and HUD stats would help a lot , especially 3bet percentage .

I remember this from the WSOP days "There are two ways to play JJ , both of them wrong"

J's are always trouble unless you flop a set with rags...
No past hands with him, but i know hes a huge multi tabler (probably professional)
I think i folded mainly because he didnt shuv, he looked strong 3betting which could of meant AK QQ KK,,, but if an A K Q came on flop, im allready commited to it IMO.

I've noticed in both your posts youlike to chat it up at the table.

Why give away so much info?

And I think you over-bet a bit Preflop. A 75% raise or so would have given you the same info, so about $3-$5.

But If your going to raise this PF, and a big raise at that, but yet fold it to a push/ reraise, why bother raising?

Leave yourself more outs next time.

And if you think he's tight, playing pairs and Big Aces, then you need to take the flop. I really think a flat call Preflop here would have been your best bet. Play this for set/over pair value.

Course, it becomes even worse when the flop is 379 rainbow, and he pots it. Then your screwed.

    Jacks suck in NL.

Did he have you beat? Probably. Maybe AKs. Why such a big raise if not ready for push? Never, never say what you're folding. Makes no sense at all.

Point is you could have got the same information with a raise to say... $4 and been prepared to fold with a big 4bet back. Would have saved yourself $4. Simply calling was a decent option as well.

    Well..... not really.... but sorta.

    Read what ping said.

But "cheap as possible" will also lead you into some bad spots too.

    lol this forum

    call preflop because

    1) opening ranges are just stupid at FR to start with
    2) there is nothing he opens/flats that you beat
    3) he will probably 4b or fold pre
    4) you're crushed by his 4b range so getting in pre is terrible
    5) 3betting will fold out worse hands that you get value from postflop

hopefully this gives you an understanding of why you want to flat pre
