Villan was VPIP 14, PFR 11, so I don't think they were yanking my crank.

I was just worried that he'd been playing quite tight and hadn't been raising much PF, and then suddenly 3bet me. If I had gone ahead there would have been two more big bets / raises to come and had an ace shown up then I'd have been even more screwed. Could have lost my entire stack in one swoop.

I would have re-raised pre. If you get it all in in this spot 100 times you are coming out ahead.

Poorly played imho. Even a total nit is 3 betting wider than only AA.

This is the problem. You can't be afraid of losing 100 BB on any given hand. Maybe you are playing too high?

Raise flop/get it in.

If this was 6max, 4bet pre.
Since this is nit ring, whenever you 4b in this spot (i.e. a nit 3bets an UTG+1 open), you're gonna see AA.
