Default LOST IT ALL ON THE FLOP

Ok check this out and tell me if I was the dumbhead or that motherfucker

I get dealt A7 ( A being a heart ) preflop there was some raising and calling.
This dude bets 60 dollars on the flop,
    FLOP

    10h - 7h - 4h (ALL OF THEM HEARTS )
, so he bets the 60 bucks, i raise to 150.
He looks at me weird but after short time re-raises me with 220

and now ... I push all in about 500 bucks, he waits a little and goes all- in aswell.
    On the turn... no heart.
on the river ... no heart.

Right my aim was to get him out of the game because i was just so not interested too see if i will get the 5th heart to complete my flush ace high.
    But
    im jus tpised.
On the showdown he showed me a A - 10 but none of them were a heart.
    So
pls tell me for my personal experience.
Where did i fail ? I told him the right story...dude, i got a flush ace high.
I mean how could he call my all in with top pair and top kicker but with a flush on the floop ?

I'm so pissed I don't know what else to say.
    For sure i could have

The only t hing i can say about this, is that i should have characterized this guy, i should have watched him properly and realize he's a fucking farmer with no clue about poker and that i could have done that against a decent player but not such a beginner as him.

sry im so darn pissed of

Dude you have to recognize the type of player before you try to bluff them. Typically "farmers with no clue about poker" won't understand a story that you're trying to bluff up, that's why playing straight-forward bet strong for value poker works best against those types. Not big bluffs. TPTK is the nuts to a LOT of people.

Here's what happened: You tried to make a big move on a "dummy" cuz you think you're better than him - and you probably are, as far as understanding concepts - and you probably had in the back of your mind "fuck it, he probly has me beat but I have a flush draw to save me". And you only got angry and posted because you missed the flush. If you had hit it, you likely would've convinced yourself you made the right play and that he made a stupid call, and justice got served.

But you failed to play the opponent, which is what poker is mostly about. Did you have any idea what his preflop range is? What hands could he be betting big with on that flop? Is he capable of folding strong hands or is he a complete station?

Plus... what is "some raising and calling preflop"? That can make a huge difference. A7 offsuit is trouble right from the start. You shouldn't even be in a raised multi-way pot with it.
And how can he raise 70 more after you raise 90? that's an illegal bet. Unless it was 220 on top of your 150, 370 total.

The point is what happened preflop was completely unnessary to be honest the table i was playing was full of kids with lots of money with maximum medium sized holdem experience.

The only mistake i made is that i tried to do it against that greenhorn.
Every other poker player would have fold.
Nvm, tonight is hopefully going to be better than last nigh.
