Default Serious leaks in my game

Jesus, someone needs to hook me up with advice because I have some serious leaks in my game. Like I've had a bunch of winning days but instead of having say a 30/40 hourly rate it's more like 20 because I'll just spew off money. I've been playing at this card room for the past week or two almost everyday. There really is only one decent player in the room so it is very +EV. They limp call every hand shit is crazy.
Anyway I've played maybe 20/30 hours with the same guy recently. I've stacked him twice when he had good hands and then I usually loosen up after he leaves. (neither suck outs so he's knows i'm pretty capable hand.) He's def. a LAG player, best player in the room so usually I don't like involved with him.
    So we're played 2/4 NL.
    sb:300ish
    bb: 320ish
    utg:100
    utg1:200
    mp:300ish
    mp:200
    Hero:240
    Villain:280

    Hero: 88

3 folds, call, hero raises 14, villain raises to 40, 1 fold, hero calls

    flop: 9 3 7 r

hero check, villain 50, hero call

    turn: 3 (2 spades)

hero check, villain 70, hero shoves, villain begins tanking...

( this happens before i shove )okay honestly I thought I was beat at this point, I turned my hand in a bluff because he knows I don't play a hand with him without anything. I put him on TT or JJ. So I bet you don't like those Q's now (don't know why i said that it just seemed like a good idea at the time) He about has his hand in the muck and said, "look i know you got it but i have to call to see."

    river: 8 whooooops.

I did suck out. honestly I should have folded but I've played hands with him with him pushing low flops with AKs and also played hands where he had the goods. Needless to say he was pretty amazed that I read his hand, even though I didn't think he was that quite that strong.
So what do you guys think..? I should probably have known if he was capable of big folds before trying this?

    Fold pre-flop, you can't setmine with a 60BB stack.

I would tell you to buy-in full but live games are ridiculous so max buy-in is probably 50BBs.

Your post is not very constructive. Ok, I can't set mine? What I have already have the best hand. You fold to every 3-bet with pocket pairs? Well I don't. What if I had JJ here?

First, what is the max buyin? If you're sitting that low voluntarily, that's your biggest leak. And I agree that you should just fold it preflop, but the raise isn't horrible. Fold to the 3-bet every time, though.

You probably shouldnt bluff when it looks like you are asking him to put $80 into over $400.

If this hand is played to extract maximum value with your 8's when you are ahead and you think he will double barrel bluff overcards or maybe bet a hand like A7/66 and end up getting commited and called then the hand is played well.

I wouldn't expect an overpair to get away for the most part. The fact he tanked is kinda lol, I woulda beaten you into the pot even if I wasn't massively happy about it.

It is a pretty big leak to call the 3bet in this specific hand. If you're doing it frequently then it's going to lose you a lot of money.

I prefer 4bet/calling to calling here, but we need to know that he is capable of going after us light when we isolate.

EDIT - Wota's point about the stack size and bet size sums up the answer to whether we should bluff here.
