given he donked into 4 on the flop and then procedes to take a line that doesn't look like he wants you to fold i'd release
and no you have to bet turn imo

He doesn't have a set here often, his line doesn't make much sense at all though.

I hate those spots. I think we have to bet for value on the turn as there are quite a few horrible river cards that either beat us or kill any action.
I fold. For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.
I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

why is villian not raising sets on a draw heavy flop? idk, tough spot... Ac2c makes most sense to me

Why in the hell would he check raise that turn card? If he just filled up he's waving a giant flag that says "I just filled up" with that check-minnish raise. Any decent player who made next to the nuts on that turn is likely either going to value bet or check-call hoping that their opponent will hit their draw on the river.
If this guy has 33 or 44 he played it awful. I suppose it's possible that he has 23 or 24 given that he was in the SB, but that turn play looks fishy and I don't think there is a boat in there.

I think there's a lot of cards he could do this with that your beating. The fact he limped, then check raised on the turn looks to me like mid PP..maybe 66 so has open ended SD. I dont think 56 is likely due to flush draw out there. I'd call!
