Here's a hand I won playing .02/.05 NL on stars:
Dealt to CHIPHIBEEF [Kd Ks]
pomozi: folds
oror: folds
psicoper: folds
Floryole: folds
Csncer: folds
hermagar: raises $0.10 to $0.15
CHIPHIBEEF: raises $0.25 to $0.40
Elpetabotes: folds
ibñz: folds
hermagar: raises $1.35 to $1.75
Floryole leaves the table
CHIPHIBEEF: raises $0.19 to $1.94 and is all-in
hermagar: calls $0.19
*** FLOP *** [3h 3c 4s]
*** TURN *** [3h 3c 4s] [Kc]
*** RIVER *** [3h 3c 4s Kc] [Jd]
*** SHOW DOWN ***
hermagar: shows [Qs Ac] (a pair of Threes)
CHIPHIBEEF: shows [Kd Ks] (a full house, Kings full of Threes)
CHIPHIBEEF collected $3.80 from pot
Obviously his play with the AQ is ridiculous because the real low stakes attract real bad players. I've played 1/2 in casinos and home games and have STILL seen players as bad as I witnessed in the above hand. and was thinking about moving up to 2/5 but I was wondering if 2/5 NL, 5/10 NL and higher still have as bad of players as I have witnessed in the lower stakes or if the players at the higher levels are much better than at a 1/2 or lower table.

if you are playing optimally, his effective shove with AQ over your 3bet should be very very standard. but you probably play like a typical passive .02/.05 donk so i guess you both lose.

08-04-2009 #5For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.
I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

right so being a passive .02/.05 donk is what allowed me to turn $5 that they gave me into $50. I play low stakes to increase my bankroll, I play live 1/2 if you don't have anything relevant to say dont bother. Go back to being loose agressive and lose to me sometime
