Okay, so I wanted to post this one to show how not to get stacked. But were going to pretend the turn is a blank and that I didn't play it terrible. This is the original but lets pretend turn comes something like
** Dealing Turn ** []
yp9 checks
liverio bets 16$
yp9?
Okay so whats in his range, I don't remember villian but lets say his range was a pretty standard 99+ AQ+ And that KK And AA aren't in his range because he just gets a hard on and 4bets those.
What part of his range on the turn bets that is behind us?
99-QQ are essentially the same vs our hand right now. Do they want to put more money in the pot? Not really, they call on the flop because they have showdown value, which they certainly do against our range. They aren't going to bet because nothing we have is going to call that is behind.
Were not calling with a flush draw, which is a slim part of our range, wed probably check shove that since it we don't really want to have to catch the flush. We aren't calling with underpairs. So there bet would only fold out shit they beat...So why would they bet 99+? Well they usually aren't. So AQ best AK if its in there calling range. AJ if its in there calling range.
So we can safely c/f here with no qualms at all. So we don't usually get stacked by AJ AQ..
instead i hit 2 pair checked and made huge mistakes ARGAJSDLKAFLKSDF
but thats not the point of this thread![]()

c/f Kh turn is good, but you should be betting again when you hit two pair on the 4h. there are very few twos in his range, so there's thick value against one pair Ax hands, which he has a lot. you seem to realize you played it wrong so maybe you already know what i'm talking about, but i though i'd throw it out there just to clarify.

i'd make pre 10 or 11bbs, flop is good, turn is obviously a bet as you know, then as played jam river
dunno if i'd have the discipline to c/f a Kh like that

oh wait, my bad, if turn is Kh we dont have 2p and his sizing is close to pot, yes i'd c/f there without much thought

I thought that at first, but it was a 3BB raise from the button. The 3bet is a good way to make sure he isn't just stealing. You don't want to get known as someone you can steal blinds off of.
