Default how did I play that hand?

of course I couldn't put him on this hand, but I started suspecting I was beaten
the river bet was a value+protection bet
by protection I mean trying to limit my losses... I think I bet enough for him not to raise with any hand that didn't beat me (so I decided I'd fold any raises)

    Bet more on flop.

Turn is a shitty card. I guess it would be kinda read dependent as far as what I would do. Most of the time I just bet and get it in though.

BTW kavelot, you seem like a cool guy. You really need to get an avatar and post more on this forum!
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R

KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

Yeh def a bigger bet on the flop, but like already said the turn is not a nice card. Slowing down with sets is always going to be hard especially considering only a 5-7 being the real killer hand, however now the flush draw out there is hit as well so it would def get me thinking. His small raise on the turn is pretty much a cert your beat.. so u should maybe be thinkin about throwing it away then imo.

however it is easy to analyse knowing all avenues, so i could see me getting caught like this too... maybe, but then again i would def be thinkin a hell of a lot come the turn!!

    I would bet flop bigger.

    c/f river imo.
For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.

I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.
