Interesting Bvb spot
No reads. HC didnt get past the turn, villian bet $8. I have the idiot draw+ nut flush draw, plus an overcard
I guess calling flop would be best, in retrospect?

yeah I know it was bad. But that wasn't my question, I wonder what the best line is here on flop/turn

3bet pre is possible
flat flop makes for a hard decision for him on the turn
as played i'm not sure, i'm a pussy in blind battles, so often i've bet flop, bet turn and c/f river when villian shoves so maybe that's a good line for you to take as "villain"? ask jharding/squeezy

hm I think he has to raise close to 100% for that to be correct? From what I read about HU good 3-bet range vs average villian who raises 40-50% is 5-7% or so, that is very tight. But it's certainly a good idea, and may help losing money to slightly better aces.

As far as being correct, well I'm not sure, but I like the flop raise. I think the SB makes the cbet with complete air plenty enough to dump to our flop raise. However, I think a turn raise becomes more effective after calling the flop. It may look like you dobbled a spiked a set on the flop, cold calling only to get aggressive on the turn. As played on the flop, I'm not sure you have another option on the turn other than to push. I can't see dumping to an $8 bet on the turn after your $5 raise on the turn being any good, and I don't think we are calling.

dont 3bet pre, keep your range polarized. it wouldn't be bad, but i think call is better. just play your position postflop
flop raise is ok, because your draw isnt that good and you dont have great implied odds. you prob gotta fold to a shove, which would suck, but if villain cbets a lot semibluff raise here is fine.
on the turn i doubt you have much fold equity, he probs has something he can stack off with, he just wanted to wait for a safe turn card 1st. there's an assload of draws on the board, he'd be crazy to bet/fold. at the same time, we obviously have a great draw and are getting a little better than 2 to 1 so def dont fold.
just spike a club and then ship it in

I like your preflop and flop play but I flat turn and hope to hit.

If stacks were slightly deeper a shove would be good because you'd have a hell of a lot more fold equity.
I'd call his turn bet (how much was it btw??) and then ship the river if it was a club, 4 or A for sure. Maybe even a spade or 9 because they're pretty scary cards. That said if you have no FE on the turn then you certainly won't have any on the river.

I might be crazy here but I think sometimes you have to make the odd play... To me it's a perfect spot for that, so I'm throwing this out :
you min raise. Discuss.
The idea is by min raising, you reprensent a made str8 / set / flush + str8 draw. You definitly put villain off balance here whatever his holding is. I'm not saying necessarly it's a correct play here, I just want to discuss it...
