Default JJ overpair

Villain is 31/22/2, played KK overpair like the nutz, and plays pretty aggro on the flop, tighter on later streets.

Given he's been pretty aggressive, I let him do the betting in position, but he won't, so I just go for value on the next two streets against AQ/AK etc, knowing a set may slowplay this one, especially TT.

There is very little I'm actually ahead of on the river, is it a good spot to check/call or can we expect a call from hands like 99/AK often enough to bet again?

Probably misplayed from the flop, but say we did cbet this and get a call, do we play for pot control, or play for stacks?

Preflop is fine.

Bet flop.

Bet more on turn.

River is tricky. Not exactly sure how to play it best. Part of me wants to c/c to induce bluffs but I am just not sure. I am also trying to decide if a bet is good there. Not sure exactly what a blocking type bet would accomplish.

Preflop I 3bet more, pot size would be up to $8.50 I think, and given you're in the BB I'd add 1-2bb so at least $9 here.

I like your line if you had AA (though I bet turn harder, $12 at least) but with JJ you give him too much of a chance to snag an overcard on the turn. If a K comes on turn you're in a shitty spot. If he was aggro on the turn I may CRAI but the board is a bit too connected for that here.

I bet flop for $12 and go from there, probably getting it in if no overs come.

As played I'd c/c if he has shown a tendency to bet rivers when checked to, otherwise I bet smallish (prob $20 actually) for value cos he'll struggle to lay down some Tx hands given your line.

I don't like a block bet, cos it's a horrible spot if we get raised which we may do quite a lot.

3bet more pre coz there's a caller, make it 9 coz standard 3bet is 7.

and what gder said, don't look to get 3 streets of value out of an over pair, any 2 is fine, i just bet flop to keep pressure on and maintain the initiative.

also fire bigger first time, like 2/3 so 12ish, sets up a shove for next street, ie preferably bet flop shove turn.
