Default QQ, turn paired the board

I switched to 6-max, so there will be some simple hands / stupid questions.

Villain is 50/25/2.2 20 hands only.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: ITH Forums)

UTG ($15.15)
Hero ($10.75)
Button ($10.60)
SB ($8.15)
BB ($3.05)

Preflop: Hero is MP with , .
UTG raises to $0.4, Hero raises to $1.2, 3 folds, UTG calls $0.80.

Flop: ($2.55) , , (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $1.7, UTG calls $1.70.

Turn: ($5.95) (2 players)
UTG bets $3.1, Hero ???

I think flop bet is too small, should i bet like $2?

Firstly, this post (and every one of your posts) needs semi-naked ladies.

Anyhoo to the hand,

I would re-raise 3.5x or pot preflop, so $1.40 or so. 3x isn't terrible though.

I would bet a little more on flop, maybe 1.80-2.

Turn kinda sucks, I can't imagine he does this too often with a FD or a 78/JQ type hand, they just tend to keep check-calling. JQ is obv less likely cos you have 2 yourself.

I fold turn, I really don't think you're good that often.

hrm. interesting spot because you have ~$6 left so calling is the worst play because you're committed to any river. part of me wants to stick this in, but it'd be essentially a minraise so you're not going to have a whole lot of fold equity.

Still, paired boards are often bluffed at at NL10 and also players at NL10 think if they have top pair with a good kicker on a paired board that it's the nuts. AT is a very likely holding given his play, and I don't think a nine is a huge part of his range.

Folding isn't bad but I might stick it in imo. Also, I agree with David's bit about bet sizing.

I think you are pretty bad against a range of hands he could be doing this with. I just don't easily see a hand he could have that you beat, maybe JJ. And even then I'd probably be expecting him to check raise the flop if he was quite aggressive, JJ isn't a great trapping hand here. Also you've played the hand very fast, so you look like QQ+ to anyone that's noticing.

I'd Fold I think, but any little read you might have could sway me either way I think. If I had to guess, I'd say he's trapped you PF with KK+ or has lucked out and hit a set of Tens/T9s/98s, but it's a tight range to put a 25% raiser on.

I think you have to fold on the river. As previously mentioned, part of the problem with this hand is your bet size on the flop. I think you're bet should be in the $2-2.30 range. My best guess is that the dude hit a set of 10s on the flop and sucked the money out of you, leading to a turn bet.

I agree with Piv. At NL10 he does this fairly often with FDs and practically any T. He is crazy loose preflop.

I wouldnt fault you for folding though to be honest. Lots of hands he could have that put you in a bad position.

I never fold this turn, it's so unlikely he has a 9. AT, KT, QT, JT, TT, JJ and probably even 88 are going to give you their money.
