I just got home from and good\bad session from the borgata. I was playing 2-5 NL and there is one hand that sticks out in my mind that I think i could have played better and got more value out of the hand...
Im in the SB with JJ. There are 3 limpers to me.. and I make it 25 to go.... The BB 3 bets me with a min raise. Everyone folds and I call... Flop comes A J 7 2 spades... I I check the and the BB bets out 50... I smooth call... Turn comes another 7 spade.. I check again hoping he was on a big flush draw... and he bets out 100... I hollywood for a moment and then I RR 250... I think my mistake was there.. I feel if i smooth call again and value bet the river I could have made alittle more money off him... In the above hand he thinks and lays down AK off... Please give me some feedback it would be appercaited...

For the rest of my night I would grind my stack and get my legs cut out.. I stacked off 500 with QQ. under the gun Raise preflop to 15... i popped him 45 from the button... the BB called and He called..flop comes out 9 7 9... 2 checks to me... I bet 85... BB folds... utg RR me all in... I ask him you have aces or kings... he says no... so i say call.. He turns over the monster that is ... 9 2 off suit...

then same player I have AK clubs... i have about 450 left... I am on the button he is UTG... he raises to 15... i pop him to 45 again.. he calls... flop comes out 8 high with 3 clubs... I bet out 65... He RR me 100.... I go all in... he calls.... he flopped a set of 4's and ends up filling up on the river when another 8 hits...
Sorry for venting it feels good.. but i feel my play was very good... just ran very unlucky at the worst times

1hand) hollywood + call would of been better. He checks the river, you hollywood again with 2/3 pot.

2) I'd pop that to 55$ instead of 45. Would it make a difference? I dunno...

Few limps, sb raises, BB 3bets isn't really a blind war.
Its an easy fold for TPTK to a check-raise when the flush card hits unless he has seen you (semi) bluffing alot. However this is live poker so yeah, unlucky he folded.

c/r the flop with JJ, the line you took makes your hand look about as strong as possible.

QQ hand is read dependent, i could see that going either way

yeah the flop is the time to raise here.

And thats the worst turn to raise ever. Given flop play I would call turn and c/rai on river.
