Default 100nl turn play vs shorty with TPTK

Villain is 63/5/1.5 over about 30 hands. Obviously a fish, but those are mined hands and I've been at the table for about 1 orbit and have no real reads yet.

What's the most profitable play on the turn?

- bet $8 (or just generally small)
- bet $11-13
- c/r
- c/c

If we check and he bets small (say $4 or something) are we:

- shoving
- raising small to $11 maybe to tempt him into a shove

$0.50/$1 No Limit Holdem
5 players
Converted at weaktight | fold when you know you're beat (BETA)

Stacks:
UTG ($208.20)
CO ($138.40)
BTN ($106.55)
Hero ($97.50)
BB ($28.80)

Pre-flop: ($1.5, 5 players) Hero is SB
3 folds, Hero bets $3, BB calls $2.50.

Flop: ($7, 2 players)
Hero bets $4.50, BB calls $4.50.

Turn: ($16, 2 players)
Hero ???

If you know you have him beat, I check/raise him all in on the turn and hope he bites. I like the idea of betting the pot better, because if he has some combo like two paint cards and hits something on the river your going to want to kick yourself in the nuts for checking. I don't think he has a set here because if he did he would have came over the top of you right from the beginning.

I like the idea of a check/raise becasue 16 bucks probably looks pretty juicy to him right about now. But your risking him catching something on the river if he doesn't already have a made hand. Thats why I would bet the pot. If you take it down you take it down, if he calls he calls. Either way you win.

not sure I like checking the turn as I don't necessarily think he's going to be raising any more than he'll be checking. the board is very dry.

I like the small bet option as it keeps him from profitably drawing to a lot of hands and doesn't threaten his short stack all at once. It makes him very easily call the rest of his stack on a bricked river imo

I actually checked here, reason being I've found from my experience at 100nl that if you cbet flop then check turn you get a bet thrown at you a huge amount of the time. Also I want to start being seen to check decent hands on the turn so that I can stop people pushing me off when I have a marginal hand.
