Default Live Hand

Live NL cash game, blinds are $5/$10

Villian 1 has about $1,500
Villian 2 has about $8,000
Hero has about $3,000

Villian 1 opens from UTG for $60 (pretty standard raise at this point). Villian 2 pops it from the cutoff, making it $200.

At this point villian 1 could have anything from AXs to 89s to AA, he's fairly loose but really consistent with his betting and plays extremely well post flop. Villian 2 is about as vanilla as you can be and is only up so big because he has hit people with cooler hands all night long. His range would be 88+ and AK. If villian 1 was tighter his range would be QQ-AA and AK.

I look down and see QQ in the SB, what do I do? My image is pretty good, I haven't had to showdown any trash and have been caught bluffing once which was post-flop. Villian 1 knows me as a grinder, this is my first time playing villian 2.

This game is also a little over my head at the moment, but it was awfully juicy. I bought in for $400 and am ready to walk from the table with my nice little score.

I don't have much experience of live cash games and have no experience of playing $5/10nl so take this with a pinch of salt but I call the $200 and proceed with a lot of caution post flop, almost set mining but not quite.

Also, this is with no information about whether or not you have 4bet yet and how well your opponents play in re raised pots.

If you're afraid to gamble against the fish after your nice winnings, I'd call for set value at least.

hmmm.... what positions are you all in? Honestly, I probably muck here. The reason - when you're up over 600% and ready to get up is no time to gamble in a 3 way pot. Given the ranges you put everyone on, I cant imagine a flop without a Q that I like.

I also want to add... good job at going from $400 to $3000 at live NL1000. Any particular reason you didn't buy in full... other than the wife and kids than need to eat (which is why I'm too scared to play NL1000... I'd be a total nit)?

#1 - I'm meh at NL

#2 - I'm meh at NL

#3 - I'm meh at NL, but only when I play short, otherwise I'm a donk

Quick double up vs a retard who calls all-in with middle pair: He had AT on KT6 board, I had 66

Took another $400 off same retard with AA when he bluffed at a QQx flop (he slowplayed every monster hand he had and bluffed every pot he missed) this was the guy that made me stay at this table

Then doubled through retard #2 with KK vs AK on K55 flop after some lively pre-flop action.

This hand is the reason I suck at NL, I have no idea what to do in this type of situation!!!!

I ended up folding it pre-flop, which is good because UTG came over the top of the raise all-in and cutoff called after a moment of pause. before they flipped em I knew UTG had AA and cutoff had AK.

UTG, who I know, later told me he saw cutoff look at his holecards and get all excited. That's why i love live poker.
