His CO raising range will be way behind KJ.

Like I say before, I think he checks a heart enough of the time. I would get it in on the flop with the ace but it doesn't mean he would, from what I've seen they like to take free cards when they're offered them, especially with a bluffy guy in the pot as well. also he doesn't really need to build the pot as such, it's already pretty big.

More I think of this hand the more I think checking it down is the best play.

No it doesn't, it's not what I said. What I said is, I cant imagine him not betting with an Ah in that spot. He may very well take a shot with any 2 cards in position on that flop.

I think so too. However I don't think that will happen very often.

AA or KK most likely would have re-r you all-in preflop but QQ - TT especially from a tighish player would often just call - althou an aggressive maniac I would expect to shove pf with 88 or better. The CO TAG isn't calling with much less than AK or AQs but most likely a pp while the maniac doesn't seem to have enough to raise but enough to call - another pp but more like 99 or TT??
Good analysis btw, but is AQs really in his range, and if so, why? I'd put him on only AK, 99-QQ, sometimes AA/KK hoping to trap.

AQs b/c it's still a strong hand but a lot would depend on the COs read on the hero's range of hands and what the hero might try from the BB. JJ or smaller pp for example going for a squeeze play gives CO a race preflop and an easy fold if he misses the flop. If however CO sees our hero as a rock, AQs might not be stong enough to call that large a raise.

And the size of the re- is or can be a significant tell - really large hands (AA, KK) are looking for action so re-r x2 while weaker hands like JJ or smaller pp are often looking to win the pot preflop and without a fight. This re-r was 5.5 x the pf raise of CO ($3.50) - a huge re-raise and indicates a weaker hand than AA or KK imo..
