The min-raise on the turn just screams that he has a Q. Its the classic donks way of trying to build a pot while blatantly giving away the strength of your hand. I fold this river too.

that's why I love NL25. Most people fall into the category of "stupid enough to cbet" but there's also a huge group of people who fear minraises more than overbet shoves

makes for a cheap and effective bluff on dry turns after floating cbets

Erm, I don't know about NL25 but I have been playing a ton of NL10 this year and when I see a move like this 9 times out of 10 they have the goods.

they usually do, but not often enough to make it a -ev call - for example, you only need to win about once out of four to make break even sklansky bux calling a minraise that gives you 3:1 pot odds

but I was just saying, making minbet bluffs against the standard TAGs at these levels, especially multitabling ones, is huge EV

lol, never fold that river, ever. And I mean ever. You've completely under-repped your hand.

Not betting the flop made this hand so difficult to play cos you won't have a clue what the minraise means. I suppose I just go all passive here and call the minraise and then c/c river even if he pots it. If I had reads then 3betting turn could be fine as could value betting river. Without reads, I think they tend to fire the river enough to make a c/c bluff catcher work.

But yeah, lead the flop.

You're getting 2.5-1 with aces up and he cannot possibly put you on an overpair.

How sick would it be if he had A5o?

Calling 3:1 pot odds when you believe that 9 out of 10 times he has it is not EV tho.
