Default TPTK vs station

Dont have exact numbers on villian but he was seeing a large percentage of flops and I had seen him call down with 2nd or 3rd pair before. Is this a standard play against such a passive calling station or should I be more weary of 2 pair, sets etc?

IMO you played it perfectly. If you knew he will play almost any 2 cards and call all the way, TPTK is often going to beat him. +EV in the long run to get all-in by the showdown with TPTK against these types. Let's say he would catch 2 pair or better, maybe 1 out of 3 times at best. You have the best of it by winning 2 of every 3 times, so you will win $10 twice and lose $10 once, making $10 profit off him every 3 hands. Of course I just made that stat up as an example, he probably hits 2 pair or higher even less than 1/3.

good stuff, I figured on such a dry board that this was an easy push all the way. No flushes or straights completed so my only fear really was 2 pair or a set.

Unless he had 89o, that'd be harshness.

Played perfectly.
Without seeing results I guess he had JT or something which is just unlucky.

One thing to remember especially against passive players if you have a hand you cant fold to a bet in this type of spot it is better to push than check-call as he may look you up with hands like QJ/TT that check behind and only bet if he has you beat.
