Default NL10 99 in BB

This guy is about 45/9/0.5, so TAG for Red Kings He's actually up a bit, so he has some idea of what hands to bet with post flop.

I hadn't been playing great poker at this point, a lot more limping than usual, with some good hands, some bad ones.

Apart from PF which is gay, are two overbets average here, and do I just fire all in on the river even though he may well have hit the flush on the flop, or do I just check as 90% of the time only better hands than mine are calling? If he shoved the river, do I call, assuming he probably hit a flush?

I actually dont mind the way you played it. Part of me wants to say you missed value on the river but I'm just not sure.

If he pushes river I snap call and expect to see a busted draw a significant part of the time.

When he checks, I push.

If he has x alot of time that's an argument for checking.

am I missing something here? Why would you check behind if you think he has a missed draw?

What's with betting 3x the pot on the turn?

When we bet in poker we want to acheive one of 2 things.
1. Make a better hand fold
2. Make a worse hand call

If we think his range here is 5% made flush and 95% x (I am not saying this is accurate) we should still check behind since a busted draw can't call a bet and a flush beats us.

Yes, I know what a poker bet does.

Point I was getting at: Villain called $3 for a $4 pot on the turn - quite loose for a flush draw. If we think he has a busted draw as we originally discussed, why's it so crazy to think he might not call a value bet on the river?

raising pf is 100% mandatory. i usually never see much of a reason to overbet, but given that the pot was unraised pf i like the flop bet sizing. overbet is prolly also fine on the turn given how much of a donk this guy appears to be, but 3x the pot is pretty excessive and i think betting like 1.5 or 2 dollars is much better. then on the river i would shove as played, he can call with all kinds of trash and if happened to flop the flush and then check it to you three times that's just bad luck.
