Default hand anyalis live cash game.

this was a live cash game, what did i do wrong. 4 handed

button- 9 pounds
next one -4 pounds
Hero-5 pounds
BB-9 pounds

hero posts blind 10p
BB posts blind 20p
button folds
next- folds
Hero dealt [6 10] raises to 60p
BB calls 40p

Flop.

Qs 6d 10d
hero bets 60p
bb calls 60p

total pot £1.20.

turn-
9d

hero bets £1
bb- raises £2.80
Hero calls £2.80 (all in )

river- Qc

hero shows 2 pair 10s 6s
BB shows 3 of a kind queens Qh Jh or was it Qh Jd? cant really remeber.

where did i lay this hand wrong? this guy only bets his pairs and bets them like they are the nuts so i called. knowing he had a queen.
Should i of folded? was it just a bad beat.
the raise preflop was a steal lol.

thinking about it he had a lot of outs on the turn, 12 ive counted any jack any queen and king any 8 no wonder i lose all the time im a donkey.

I dont think I like trying to steal OOP with those cards but as played raise the flop more when youve hit your two pair, closer to 2/3-full pot sized bet.

Turn if you are going to call a shove on a board showing flush potential then you may aswell just open shove and be the agressor.

But thats just my 2 cents and I am probably wrong

That. As you can't remember suits I also presume it was T6o. BAD dog.

yea i know i just felt a little cheeky id folded my small blind to him twice before so i assumed he'd think i was being genuine.
if i mised the flop i was going to muck it faster than ann robinson on speed.

Seriously.
You flop 2 pair (Edit: I mean 2 pair when both your hole cards pair. 22 is not necessarilly autostack off in 887 for example) and allthe following are true:

1. You started hand with 25bb
2. The pot was heads up
3. It was sb vs bb
4. The pot was raised

ANY of these 4 reasons are enogh for me to go broke with 2 pair in 99% of situations.
All 4 and you must be joking f you seriously exect anyone to tell you to fold at any point post-flop.

When your steal actually hits something like that (bottom 2 pair) on the flop, overbet the pot. If they don't believe you and they have a pair, they will probably shove back or call (then you shove on turn). If they respect you or their cards aren't good enough even if they don't believe you, be happy your steal worked out that well.

Edit: and I agree with Wota, when a steal hits 2 pair, as a short stack you are going broke or doubling up (but better to have it all in sooner rather than later), nothing else.

lol, raising with T6o and planning on folding every time you miss is not going to be a profitable play
