Villian is 40/10, whole table loves to call flop bets, so I checked behind for a change. When villian checks to me on the turn I felt it shows awful weakness and take a stab.

Delayed cbets have been working for me against people who love to float and see turns, and often fold to the second barrel. Seems to have the effect of only costing one street when it fails but still get value out of both streets when I have a real hand, plus mixing it up a bit.

Thoughts on this line on this particular board?

the play is pretty standard, but the way you are talking makes it seem like you want him to fold here. wronggggg, this bet is value all the way

Yeah this is def. a value bet hoping to get called by 7x or 44-TT.
Its actually a horrible spot for a "delayed cbet" as your flop check combined with the second ace means he is rarely folding any of the hands named above.

A good spot for a delayed cbet is on a flop like 56T with a flush draw, turn is an offsuit K. We deny him the opportunity to check-raise flop with draws/bluffs by checking behind and by the time the K comes alot of hands which dont fold flop like 77-99 and even a 10 likely fold.

I would check the flop most the time, bet turn most the time if I feel hes not very aggressive and check 50% and bet 50% ish if hes more aggressive. Betting seems fine in most situations here as he most likely will not show up with an ace, or QQ-KK
