Default NL10 flopped nut flush, turn pairs board

We were both massive stacks, I think I had $30 and he had about $25.

Should I fold turn or is that just too nitty? River is standard, right? I assume if he's got >flush he'd be check-raising and if he has <flush he's folding to any decent bet.

I think you played this far too scared.

Even with 250bb effective stacks I would get it in here. Pop the turn to $12 or so and call a shove imo.

At this level there's so many worse hands he'd go broke with. A 2x type of hand is possible, lower flush could take that line, even a crappy flush draw or (you never know at these stakes) a Kx hand could go crazy here. I doubt he has KK that often and obv 22 is unlikely, 44 is the only hand I really fear (K2 and 24 could be possible but very very unlikely).

IMHO, river is in no way standard, you can't check this down. If he has better than a flush his standard line has to be to bet this (c/r on the river with a monster is very rarely a decent play). I think I probably stick in $6-8 and watch him call down with a KT type of hand.

At higher stakes you can be forgiven for getting passive when the board pairs but at NL10 this in an insta stack off for me.

I agree with David completely. You played this how I used to play big hands like this. I actually love that turn card because anyone with a 2 is going broke here. I honestly put this guy on at best 2 pair.

How I went from uber aggro donk to flush-checking pussy in a couple of days I have no idea.

Fortunately he had 44, but in future I'll be less scared of paired boards.

Yeah, I was pretty happy with myself. But you're right, I was too scared here.

I agree with david.

Also, we can safely assume that flopped sets/2 pairs are played much faster than this on monotone flops
