50nl 2 pair on co-ordinated board
Villain is 34/16/3 datamined. From what I've seen he's no idiot, but obv not the most competent either. No specific reads other than that.
Thoughts as to the best line here? I say the best line cos I know mine is not exactly great (and I was a bit irritated at my play later on). So 3bet flop and stop him getting a cheap draw or raise the turn and go broke?

I reraise the gay miniraise on the flop with TPTK on this drawy a board. AK/QQ/JJ/TT surely 3-bets PF and 98 is really the only hand we have to worry about.

Hm... reraise the miniraise on the flop is inviting a push. He might go all in with a weak flush draw + gut shot straight draw thinking he makes a good semibluff.
I would have raised the turn bet to the pot ($22.5) to attempt to take it down there. (And fold to a push on the river 8, or call smaller bets.)

Being 99% sure he's not on AK/TT and 99.99% he's not on QQ/JJ I doubt he'll push. I could be proven utterly wrong here but I think we have the better hand on the flop at least- 98s is the only hand I see him flat calling with PF that beats us.
EDIT: And I agree with maltz about raising the turn.

I think he's got the goods on the flop. Remember what check-minraise means?

Oh yeah. Some genius said that IIRC. Regardless, I don't see a PF slowplay of QQ/JJ/TT/AK and 98 would be a cooler.

I can see a PF slowplay of AK, TT, or JJ. Happens all the time, especially since villain is OOP. If he doesn't hit the flop, he just mucks the hand.

Are we not 3-betting JJ/AK/TT at 6max here?

Def not mucking top two against the minraise, I'm seeing a turn.
Turn is a brick, call is good for pot control.
River isn't lovely but you're gettin 4:1 on the call... I cant muck it here.
I think it's fine.
edit: probably rocks up with 99 as a guess?

Of course we are. But there are players who don't.
I've been doing a little datamining and I have a player who's playing 36.87/0.96/0.37 over 7218 hands. He has only raised AA, KK, and QQ. And he doesn't raise them all the time. It happens.
