Default 50nl repping the flush

Villain is 23/15/2 over 500 hands. No specific reads other than that.

Something I'm trying to add a bit more to my game is occasionally stealing pots from TAG (or LAGish in this case) players when they check the turn after I call their cbet. What kind of betsizing do we go with to make it believable?

Questions:

1. Am I better of 3betting pf rather than calling?
2. Good spot to take it away on the turn?
3. Betsizing. Is $4 too small if I'm trying to get him off an A? I went for that cos that's probably what I'd bet if I hit the flush.
4. River, should I follow through with the steal? Would $10 be a spew here?

He probably has A8 or a better kicker. And in this case he will call if you bet the pot or lower...

with 23/15 stats i see him having AK AQ, AJ or a PP with a high spade here. Considering that i think he'd raise on the turn if he didn't have the flush just a high spade, i just check here.

1. I like calling preflop in the BB to a SB raise. We can play this hand in position against an opener with a wide range.
2. On the turn he is probably never, ever folding an ace in a blinds battle plus we have showdown value with our 7 anyway. I think I check behind. If we had floated flop with an unpaired hand such as 56 then is a good card to fire at since he clearly folds a lot of better hands such as T/J/Q/K high.
3. Bet is probably too small if we want him to fold even a hand like 88 with a spade. So if we are bluffing we need to bet bigger.
4. I will leave this to others. I just get the feeling he isn't folding here so check behind.

4. check behind on the river. Hands you beat will fold. Hands that beat you are calling except maybe a pair of nines with Betting this river is -ev IMHO.

I did check behind and he had AQ. Doubt he was folding that on the river.
