Default AK deep vs maniac

UTG is the definition of a maniac. Dont have stats on him cause i decided to play a session without the PA hud. He does all kinds of weird things. Shoves any draw, check raises all in with gutshots on the turn and stuff.

Preflop i raise small to isolate him and cause i dont want to build a big pot that i will have to give up if i miss cause he is not folding EVER.

Of course i am not folding post flop, but what is the play here? He could have any two imo. Do i want to shove and make him fold all hands that i beat(not sure how he reacts to a raise)? + we are a bit deep. I have position, and i guess he will bet again on the turn. What would you guys do?

1)Raise close to pot?
2)Shove?
3)Call? (and what if the turn does not make our hand?)
4)fold? lol

Green Joker Poker Salt Rock 0.50/1, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker

saw flop | saw showdown

Button Hero ($300.28)
SB ($161.05)
BB ($94.50)
UTG UTG ($173.68)
UTG+1 ($129.60)
CO ($228.10)

Preflop: Hero is on the Button with A K
UTG raises to 2, 2 folds, Hero raises to 6, 2 folds, UTG calls 4.

Flop (13.50) 5 Q 4
UTG bets 18, Hero ???

Vs a reasonable player this is a standard raise considering that you have tons of FE. But vs a guy who will call with any pair, any draw, i think there is not enough FE to make this play profitable. I would just end up building a pot without a made hand, with 0 FE at later streets and most probably flipping if he had any pair. I'm not sure i wanted to flip for 170 bbs.

At least this is what i thought at that moment and decided to just call.

The turn brought an offsuit T giving me a gutshot also. He almost half potted, i called again. Rivered a K, made a crying call to his shove, he showed J5o for a pair of fives.

OK, so how dumb is this play?Go on, be cruel....

Against this guy a nut FD + 2 overs on the flop should be considered the nuts. I'm raising to 60 and calling a shove.

I would have reraised, and called a push.

As played on the flop, with gutshot, FD and overcards I push the turn.

You have 3As, 3Ks, plus the remaining 9 clubs. That's 15 outs for turn and river. You have ~60% chance to make it, assuming your opponent holds none of your outs.

But since your opponent is a maniac, he is probably bluffing, so you might even take it down with a simple scary re-raise, or take a J-high to river. But be prepared to lose since you are now also acting like a maniac.

If the opponent is a very conservative player I would just call and hope for the best, though. Going all-in with slightly > 50% chance is not really good.
